Refused govt ad on ‘drug-free’ state: Jazzy B

According to News reported by The Tribune, Punjabi Singer Jazzy B who is making headlines for his controversial song Shikaar has refused to do ad for the Punjab Government. Jazzy B is being criticised for his song Shikaar . Earliar during last elections, Jazzy B, Miss Pooja and Gippy Grewal were slammed by Social Media users for doing ads for Punjab Govt.

The Tribune Reported:
I’m an artist, so I do not want to advertise for a party or the government. I had refused state government’s advertisement in which the spread of drugs in the state was opposed. It would have affected my fan following”. This was stated by Punjabi pop singer Jazzy B while addressing mediapersons at Hoshiarpur today.
He was here to perform at the Imperial Blue Night to be held at Hoshiarpur’s Roshan Ground. Asked about the practice of glamourising weapons in Punjabi films and albums, he said, “Weapons are connected with the legacy of the state and it will remain in movies and albums”.
He said: “There is no match to folk songs. Over the time singers do something different to bring newness, but folk form is the best”
