CONTINUING HIS attack on rivals, Congress and SAD-BJP, Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann said, “Everyday, I read statements of Congress and SAD-BJP leaders and even see them on various channels condemn AAP in general and me (Bhagwant Mann) and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in particular. They call us nonexistent in Punjab and say that we are nowhere in competition. If such is the case, why are they even naming us? This shows their growing insecurity and they know that AAP is going to make a clean sweep and hence, out of fear, they always mention AAP at every gathering.”
Mann was addressing a rally in support of AAP’s Faridkot candidate Gurdit Singh Sekhon in Faridkot on Sunday. “Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal and PPCC president Captain Amarinder Singh issue similar statements against AAP. Has anyone seen any statement of both against each other. This shows that they are in pact and contesting this election jointly. So, there is no triangular contest in 2017. It will be a contest between two parties… AAP and the second is SAD-BJP along with Congress. It will be a contest between amir (rich) and zameer (conscience) this time,” he said.
Incidentally, Mann will also lock horns with Sukhbir Singh Badal from Jalalabad and soon after the announcement of his candidature from there, Sukhbir and Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal said Mann would lose his security deposit.
