Khalistan Zindabad Slogans Raised At Sri Akal Takht Sahib

On the eve of Operation Bluestar anniversary, The “parallel” jathedars appointed by Sarbat Khalsa reached at Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Khalistan Zindabad slogans raised by Sikhs. Sandesh by Sarbat Khalsa appointed Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib Jagtar Singh Hawara was also read by Sikh leaders.

Its notable that The SGPC has maintained that no one, not even the parallel jathedars announced during a Sarbat Khalsa congregation than Giani Gurbachan will be allowed to give out a ‘sandesh’. But Still Jathedar appointed by Sarbat Khalsa read the Sandesh of Jathedar Jagtar Singh Hawara.
As soon as Gurbachan Singh began his address, slogans against him and pro Khalistan were raised. Dhian Singh Mand, the acting jathedar appointed by sikh groups during the Sarbat Khalsa, and SAD (Amritsar) chief Simranjit Singh Mann wanted to address the gathering.
Later, Mand’s supporters made arrangements and he read out the message in front of Sri Akal Takht in the presence of Mann and Baljit Singh Daduwal.

As Mand read out his sandesh, pro-Khalistani slogans were raised.
Amritsar Sahib has been turned into a fortress with the deployment of 4,500 cops, including paramilitary troops on 33rd anniversary of Operation Bluestar .

Though SGPC president Kirpal Singh Badungar has, for the first time, invited “parallel” jathedars and other Sikh organisations to participate in the event, his effort seemed to have yielded little.
“I am helpless and at the same time pained that despite my earnest efforts to bring all Sikh organisations on one platform, they continued to adopt a confrontational attitude. Though the administration has made elaborate arrangements, if any untoward incident took place on Tuesday, it will solely be the responsibility of the Congress government,” he said.
