Haryana Gurudwara collapse: One killed, 8 injured

One more body was recovered from the debris on Tuesday, more than 24 hours after a portion of Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Pehli Patshahi here collapsed yesterday evening.
One person was killed yesterday taking the death toll in the incident to two.
Three people are believed to be trapped under the debris of the gurdwara. A team of NDRF and Haryana Police are carrying out operations to pull them out.

The gurdwara collapsed on Monday, killing a 30-year-old man hailing from Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh.
Police on Tuesday said they were assisting an NDRF team in carrying out rescue operations.
Four people — Darshan Singh, Devender Singh and two labourers Nanhe and Vasudev — are still believed to be under the debris.
After the incident on Monday evening, some of the injured were referred to various hospitals, including at Delhi and Karnal.
Panipat DSP (City) Atma Ram said rescue operations were launched immediately after the incident.
Police said fire department officials were also at the incident site as the rescue operations were still going on.
The gurdwara, where some construction work was going on, is located on the busy GT road.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday visited the gurdwara and announced Rs 5 lakh compensation for the deceased, Rs 2 lakh to the seriously injured and Rs 1 lakh to the injured. He assured free treatment for all injured. He said a three-member committee would inquire into the matter.
