Former Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal, who is not attending budget session of Vidhan Sabha on health grounds, on Wednesday visited General Hospital, Sector-16 to inquire about the injured AAP MLAs admitted there.
MLAs Sarabjit Kaur Manuke and Manjit Singh Bilaspur were rushed there after both fainted and sustained injuries during alleged manhandling by Vidhan Sabha Marshals.
AAP MLAs were protesting against alleged unlawful denial of entry to MLAs Khaira and Simarjit Bains into Vidhan Sabha complex.

Though unwell, Badal went to the hospital to enquire about the health of AAP MLAs.
“It’s for the first time that women legislators were disrespected like this in the Vidhan Sabha,” he said terming it as the black day in history of democracy.
Badal said he did not believe in the party politics. He announced that Akali Dal would support any legislator being mistreated.
He has not been attending the important budget session due to poor health.
Earlier also, he had skipped the inaugural session of the 15th Vidhan Sabha and took oath as the newly elected MLA in the Speaker’s chamber.
